The Boston Lyric Opera planned to host a Summer and Fall series of events to celebrate the beautiful New England seasons coupled with great food, wonderful company, hosts and of course the incredible Boston Opera. This catalog, done as a pro-bono project, incorporates poetic imagery, royalty free photography, and a limited 2 color ink palette. Each event had an associated perforated RSVP card that could be mailed back in an accompanying envelope. The client was beyond pleased to see the outcome done for the minimal budget.

Dave Cole has been a favorite client for years. He has a way of making anything interesting. In his latest career endeavor he’s been able to turn his passion for cyber security into a beautifully branded startup company. Working on his projects requires diving deep into data, breaches, speed and sprawl in order to really understand and make sense of it all. But for the safety of our internet and putting a smile on Dave’s face, I’m always up for the challenge!

As part of an education and communications initiative within DC's Department of Public Health and Early Learning, an informational graphic was needed to demonstrate the findings, philosophy and approach to child health and well-being. The solution here uses an iconic Teddy Bear as the space and structure to deliver key messaging. It’s always a pleasure getting to work with the legendary illustrator, Peter Grundy!

This Art Stars book was born out of a passion project by production designer Tom Lisowski. For years Tom has been interviewing Oscar winning film designers for his blog artstars.us. As a way to provide more context and cohesion, the interviews were organized and edited around the most important aspects of film making and the art of production design. Given my love of the movies this was tons of fun to work on - and I learned exactly how some of my favorites came to life!

Anna Bogren is a multi-talented artist whose accomplishments include having her bathing suit designs grace the cover of GQ magazine, her jewelry designs worn on the red carpet, and legendary party themes brought to life through the construction of houses, igloos and faux forests. When she decided to create a Christmas Ukulele book, I was all in to help bring her festive vision to each and every page.

While at Medtronic, I collaborated with R&D on user experience for consumer and medical devices, and partnered with Marketing on website UI, trade show booth components, and a range of branded print materials. My favorite part of the work was being part of a team dedicated to creating solutions that genuinely improve people’s lives.

This consumer-facing tutorial website was designed to turn the stress and discomfort associated with a diabetic pump device into a friendly, engaging experience. We made sure the colors and photography were cheerful and upbeat, and rigorously tested the user interactions and educational process to be sure the experience was flawless. We included 24 hour help and tech support for added ease of use.

This information graphic was created to visualize the ecosystem of the Child and Family Wellbeing Project for Riverside County, California. From here, local organizations were able to collaborate effectively around consistent themes and objectives. I loved pulling in the incredible illustration talents of London based artist Nathalie Lees.

The Population Change Learning Group, lead by Patricia Bowie, reached out to have their seven case study series designed and illustrated. These lengthy documents contain text, photographs, maps and graphics that deliver this data-rich content in a compelling, consistent and engaging way.

When Foundstone Security was acquired by tech giant, McAfee, they needed an interim logo to support the transitional phase associated with brand consolidation. This solution helped to make customers aware of the transition using a professional, friendly tone.

While working at the San Fransisco based design firm, Addwater, I helped to develop an exhibit based on the blockbuster movie release: The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. We focused the exhibit, signage and graphics on the whimsical, "no straight lines" aesthetic of Theodore Geisel, the late Dr. Seuss. This gave fans an up-close look at the scenic elements and props used in the re-creation of Whoville for the film.

JR Wilson, whose past as a rocket scientist, has propelled his way into the elite world of Olympic athletic training. I had a blast working with him to create this bold, no fuss logo and identity system. The crisp, minimal color palette, and bold, black and white photography, exemplifies his lean and linear approach to training.

After years of leadership in K9 conditioning, multiple certifications and industry recognition, it was time for Deborah Glovier to turn her passion and hobby into a full fledged brand and career. I was happy to help visualize this through key identity elements including: logo, color palette, business cards, apparel and website concepts.

As Shotgun Digital began to grow as the leader in editing services for actors' reels in Los Angeles, they needed to expand their online presence and capabilities. We took their site from static and informational to interactive, automated and fully responsive. We also revised their look, giving them a more contemporary, edgy feel – better suited to their current client base.

When the Center for the Pacific Asian Family began planning their annual fundraising gala, they asked me to design their campaign based on the theme "Fresh Disco." I had fun creating these clean, sparkly elements to help set the tone, engage the audience and recruit donors.

I love building community and I love a good dinner party, so when Kitchen Table came to me for help in promoting their new app that brings people together over home cooked meals, I jumped at the chance. Here are a few of the pieces we created in support of their app launch and year long dinner series.

What better print client than a printer?! It was so fun to have carte blanche when designing this brochure. From the eight-fold layout and full color, full bleed ink coverage, to perforated reply card and beautiful Mohawk paper stock, this job was packed with perks.

During my early mom-life, I was very hands-on with my daughter's academics and extracurricular activities. I loved being directly involved with her life, volunteering for various events and activities, while keeping my creative brain and skills engaged. Every once in a while there was a design project that I could really sink my teeth into. This one was for the 80's themed fundraising efforts of Calvary Preschool. A total blast!

As part one of a phased approach to bring Light Insoles to market, scientist and product inventor, Alan Jacobsen, contacted me for help in creating the initial branded materials and website presence. Being fascinated with athletic tech gear, and being a big fan of Alan's in general, I was honored to take on the project. We created a fully responsive site that targeted the active, performance-focused audience, illustrating the advantages of a custom, molded, light-cured insole.

While designing in the high tech world of internet security I was challenged by the complex nature of the content and massive amounts of data. All of course needing to be distilled to their essence and re-imagined as clean, clear graphics and communication. Here's an example of the greatest security risks and how McAfee software mitigates their threats on any system.

Phase two of bringing Light Orthotics to market involved getting the brand ready for large scale communications such as trade shows and in-office printed marketing material. This brochure served both purposes while extending brand awareness and broadening sales outreach.

Security Voices is a podcast that brings to life the stories of the people shaping the cybersecurity industry - curious, thoughtful, and human. Founded by Dave Cole and Jack Daniel, the show cuts through the rigid public perception of cybersecurity to reveal the humor, generosity, and insight of its key players. I partnered with them to design the brand identity and create a logo that captures the tone of the show: friendly, expressive, and distinctly human.
